The rain was present in the first international game played in official tournement at the “JARDIN DEL TURIA” stadium, in Valencia (Spain).
There were not too much attendance due to the bad weather, around 100 or 150 people could see a strong game with the FIREBATS facing the Marines in a balanced game.

After the first minutes, were both teams calibrated the opponent, the local team opened the score with a good drive, rushing the ball for a TD and EG by the mexican Fernando Hernandez (#19).
After this the deffences become stronger and only with effective passes in 3rd down and long, could the italians break the game, scoring two consecutives TDīs.
In the 3rd quarter the Firebats started scoring a new TD, always running, putting the 16-16 high in the score (TD Francisco Ruiz, EG, Fernando Hernandez), but again the Marines used the pass to defeat the local deffence and make the definitive TD to win the game, 16 – 22.
In the last minutes, the FIREBATS were not able to score in two consecutive drives in the italian red zone with 1st and goal, due to a very strong defence stopping the rushing.
Finally the game seen here, shows a tournement with future, were the teams have a good level and can develope better expectatives with the international experience for all the teams, players, media, sponsors and general people.

After the game, both teams celebrating friendly.
